4x4 Vehicle Swimming

April 25, 2010 - As we headed back to our rented resort from island hopping, I noticed that a small crowd was in the shoreline and was up to something. When I looked harder, I saw a Mitsubishi Xtreme 4x4 taking a dip in the sea… (as a frustrated journalist way back in elementary & high school, I immediately grab my Digicam and took a shot…)

I went to the scene itself and continuously clicking.. At first people were just staring, maybe because of astonishment and questions like What the F-ck Happened? And How it can be pulled?

According to some bystanders the SUV was driven near the shoreline and the sand acted like a quicksand because of the seawater.

Several tries were made but unfortunately did not work out… Time was running out because it’s a high tide morning and the engine might get wet… Even a foreigner commented that it can be only pulled by a bulldozer (where the He - - can we get a bulldozer?, I thought)

Having no option and because its natural for Filipinos to lend a helping hand, they’ve decided to make a Bayanihan (The whole term bayanihan refers to a spirit of communal unity or effort to achieve a particular objective. According to wikipedia)

finally, the vehicle was victoriously pulled up…

The story doesn’t end there because after that, the driver drove for several meters first before saying thank you… (im not that near to him but to my judgement he did not even said thank you, he just got out of his vehicle and waved)…

Kudos to the kind & good Samaritan Filipino people and the foreigner who helped…

Summer Saya 2010 @ Zambales

Weeks have passed since my last blog post because I can’t think of any subject for that matter… April 23-24, 2010 was our Company outing @ Nora’s Beach in San Antonio, Zambales. It was my second time there and development was very evident…

We arrived there during lunch time and the prepared menu was perfectly done especially the fish fillet and adding to it was the breath taking scenery…

You can have lots of team building activities such as volleyball, tsinelas relay, videoke challenge, billiards etc… plus a beautiful sunset

Our location is the gateway to other island like Anawangin, Camara and Capones Island… I told them, “andito na tayo sasayangin pa ba natin yung pagkakataon na makapunta dun?”… So first thing in the morning after breakfast we went to the said Islands… (kahit high tide)

ANAWANGIN ISLAND

CAMARA ISLAND

CAPONES ISLAND

Thanks to Malou & Manang for some pictures posted... Next Blog within this week about a Mitsubishi Xtreme 4x4, dipping in the sea...

Semana Santa 2010

Before the Holy week entered, I was already in a state of mind that I will engage in a recreation, somewhere far from manila… But due to some circumstances, I was’nt able to do that but in turn I took part in our catholic service…

My 2010 Easter Triduum started on Maundy Thursday (4/1/2010), wherein some 12 differently abled persons acted as the 12 apostles and on the other hand Fr. Nolan Que our Music Ministry Spiritual Director acted as Christ who washed and eventually kissed the feet of the 12, one by one.

The Unveiling of the Altar of the Repose followed the washing of the feet rites, that gave the green signal for Bisita Iglesia.

Good Friday started with our Priests laying down before starting the Veneration of the Cross
